Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 01 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern orders placed with HAK Consultancy Services. They explain our service scope, payment terms, project delivery, client responsibilities, revisions, intellectual property rights, cancellations, refunds, and dispute handling.

1. About HAK Consultancy Services

HAK Consultancy Services is a Pakistan-based professional services business providing digital, creative, publishing, marketing, and technology services to local and international clients.

Our services are primarily delivered electronically. Unless expressly agreed in writing, no physical goods or shipping are included.

2. Services Covered

These Terms apply to services offered through our website, quotations, invoices, proposals, payment links, and written communications, including:

  • Book Publishing Services

  • Content Writing

  • Website Development

  • Logo Design

  • Social Media Management

  • Video Editing

The exact deliverables, pricing, timeline, revision allowance, and any third-party costs for each project will be defined in the relevant quotation, proposal, invoice, order confirmation, or other written agreement.

3. Acceptance of an Order

An order is considered confirmed when the client accepts the quoted scope and commercial terms and completes any required advance or full payment.

By making a payment or authorizing HAK Consultancy Services to begin work, the client confirms acceptance of:

  • These Terms & Conditions

  • The agreed scope of work

  • Our Refund Policy

  • Our Privacy Policy

If these general Terms conflict with a signed project-specific agreement, the project-specific agreement will apply to that project to the extent of the conflict.

4. Quotations, Pricing, Currency & Taxes
  • Prices are based on the scope, complexity, timeline, and resources required for the project.

  • Payments may be accepted in PKR, USD, or another supported currency where agreed.

  • The applicable amount and transaction currency will be displayed on the invoice, payment request, or checkout before payment.

  • Foreign exchange charges, international banking fees, card issuer fees, or similar charges imposed by the client’s financial institution are outside our control unless expressly included in our quotation.

  • Applicable taxes, government charges, or legally required deductions will be handled according to the relevant invoice and applicable requirements.

  • Quotations remain valid for the period stated on them. If no validity period is specified, we may revise a quotation before payment if the scope or commercial circumstances materially change.

5. Payments & Payment Processing

Payments may be collected through:

  • Bank transfer

  • Invoice

  • Payment link

  • Debit or credit card

  • Digital wallet

  • Other approved payment methods

Electronic payments may be processed by authorized third-party payment providers and financial institutions. Their authentication, processing, settlement, and security procedures may also apply.

The client must use a payment method they are authorized to use and provide accurate billing information.

We do not request card PINs, one-time passwords, or card security codes through ordinary email or messaging.

Payment is considered received when successfully confirmed through our bank, payment provider, or accounting records.

If a payment is declined, reversed, held, or requires additional verification, commencement or delivery of the project may be paused until the payment status is resolved.

Duplicate or demonstrably incorrect payments will be reviewed according to our Refund Policy.

6. Project Scope & Change Requests

HAK Consultancy Services will perform the services described in the agreed project scope.

Requests that materially change the original:

  • Requirements

  • Deliverables

  • Volume of work

  • Platform

  • Technical requirements

  • Project deadline

may be treated as a change request and may require additional fees or an updated delivery timeline.

We will seek the client’s approval before charging for material additional work.

7. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for:

  • Providing complete and accurate instructions, content, brand assets, credentials, approvals, and feedback reasonably required to complete the project.

  • Ensuring that supplied text, images, logos, videos, trademarks, software, and other materials may lawfully be used for the project.

  • Reviewing drafts and deliverables within the requested timeframe.

  • Clearly identifying required corrections and revisions.

  • Maintaining secure control of personal and business accounts.

  • Changing temporary passwords or access credentials after project completion where appropriate.

  • Following the terms and policies of third-party platforms used for publishing, hosting, social media, advertising, or distribution.

Delays in providing required materials, approvals, credentials, or feedback may extend the project timeline without automatically creating a right to a refund.

8. Delivery & Project Timelines

Delivery dates are based on the agreed scope and timely cooperation from the client.

Unless specifically guaranteed in writing, delivery dates are good-faith estimates rather than absolute deadlines.

Deliverables may be supplied through:

  • Email

  • Secure file transfer

  • Cloud storage link

  • Website access

  • Publishing platform

  • Other agreed digital delivery methods

Where reasonably possible, we will notify the client if a material delay is expected.

If HAK Consultancy Services is unable to complete an agreed service, any applicable refund or adjustment will be handled according to our Refund Policy.

9. Revisions & Approvals

Revision allowances are determined by the applicable quotation or project agreement.

Revisions are intended to refine the agreed concept and scope rather than create a materially different project.

Additional revisions or substantial changes outside the agreed scope may result in additional charges.

A deliverable may be considered approved when the client:

  • Provides written approval

  • Instructs us to publish it

  • Requests that it be launched

  • Requests submission or deployment

  • Otherwise authorizes use of the final deliverable

10. Service-Specific Terms
Book Publishing Services

Publishing services may include preparation, formatting, design, submission assistance, or other agreed services.

Final approval, listing, distribution, ranking, sales, reviews, or continued availability on third-party publishing platforms cannot be guaranteed because these decisions are controlled by the relevant platform.

The client is responsible for ensuring that manuscripts and other supplied materials are lawful and that they possess the necessary rights to use them.

Content Writing

Content is created according to the agreed brief.

The client remains responsible for the final factual, legal, regulatory, and industry-specific review of content before publication or commercial use.

Where originality or plagiarism checking is included within the agreed scope, the applicable check or report may be provided.

Website Development

Website projects may rely on third-party:

  • Domains

  • Hosting

  • Plugins

  • APIs

  • Payment providers

  • Themes

  • Software libraries

  • Other external services

Their availability, licensing, security updates, compatibility, and policy changes remain under the control of the relevant third parties.

Ongoing maintenance, hosting, backups, support, or future compatibility are included only when expressly stated in the project scope.

Logo, Design & Video Services

Design and media deliverables are developed according to the approved brief and supplied materials.

Licensed fonts, stock assets, templates, music, footage, or other third-party materials may remain subject to their original licensing terms and are not transferred beyond the rights permitted under those licenses.

Social Media Management

Social media performance can be affected by platform algorithms, audience behavior, competition, account status, content performance, and platform policies.

Unless specifically guaranteed in writing, HAK Consultancy Services does not guarantee a particular number of:

  • Followers

  • Impressions

  • Leads

  • Sales

  • Rankings

  • Engagements

Advertising and media spend are separate unless expressly included in the applicable quotation.

11. Intellectual Property & Ownership

After full payment of the applicable project fees, the client receives rights to the final custom deliverables specifically created for them to the extent provided in the applicable project agreement.

This transfer does not automatically include:

  • Third-party assets

  • Licensed materials

  • Pre-existing tools

  • Generic templates

  • Code libraries

  • Methods or processes

  • Professional know-how

  • Components owned by HAK Consultancy Services or third parties before the project

Drafts, unused concepts, working files, source materials, or editable project files are included only where expressly stated within the agreed scope.

Until all amounts due have been paid, HAK Consultancy Services may withhold final files, transfer of rights, publication, deployment, or administrative handover.

12. Confidentiality

We treat non-public client information and project materials as confidential.

Such information will be used only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Perform the agreed services

  • Manage the client relationship

  • Protect our systems

  • Meet lawful obligations

  • Resolve disputes

Confidential information may be shared with team members or service providers who reasonably require access for project delivery and are expected to handle the information appropriately.

13. Prohibited or Unlawful Projects

HAK Consultancy Services may decline, pause, or terminate work that we reasonably believe involves:

  • Unlawful activity

  • Fraud

  • Intellectual property infringement

  • Impersonation

  • Malicious software

  • Deceptive conduct

  • Prohibited financial activity

  • Content that violates applicable law

  • Activities prohibited by a relevant third-party platform

If a project is terminated for such reasons, refund eligibility will depend on the work already completed and any non-recoverable costs incurred.

14. Cancellations, Refunds & Payment Disputes

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy.

Because our services are customized and primarily digital, refund eligibility may depend on:

  • The project stage

  • Work already completed

  • Deliverables already supplied

  • Client approvals

  • Third-party costs already incurred

If a client believes a payment is incorrect, duplicated, unauthorized, or relates to an unresolved service issue, the client should contact us promptly so that we can review the matter and relevant transaction or project records.

Nothing in these Terms removes any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. No Guarantee of Commercial Results

HAK Consultancy Services commits to performing agreed services with reasonable professional care.

However, commercial results can depend on circumstances outside our control.

Unless expressly guaranteed in a signed agreement, we do not guarantee:

  • Sales or revenue

  • Publishing or platform approval

  • Search engine rankings

  • Audience or follower growth

  • Publishing success

  • Investment returns

  • Leads or conversions

  • Any other particular commercial outcome

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HAK Consultancy Services will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use a deliverable or from the actions, outages, security incidents, policy changes, or decisions of third-party platforms or service providers.

Our aggregate liability relating to a particular paid project will not exceed the amount actually paid to HAK Consultancy Services for that project, except where such a limitation is prohibited by law.

17. Force Majeure

HAK Consultancy Services will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events reasonably outside our control, including:

  • Major internet or hosting outages

  • Cyber incidents

  • Natural disasters

  • Government restrictions

  • Payment network interruptions

  • Third-party platform failures

  • Strikes

  • Other comparable events

We will resume performance as reasonably practicable once the relevant circumstances permit.

18. Suspension & Termination

We may pause or terminate a project because of:

  • Material non-payment

  • Repeated failure to provide required information or materials

  • Abusive conduct toward our staff

  • Suspected fraud

  • Unlawful instructions

  • Material breach of agreed terms

Where circumstances permit, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate the issue before terminating the project.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may periodically update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in our services, processes, legal requirements, or business practices.

The latest version will be published on our website together with its effective date.

Material changes will generally apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.

20. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The parties should first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith written communication.

If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it may be referred to the courts or another legally available dispute-resolution process having jurisdiction in Karachi, Pakistan, subject to any mandatory rights applicable to the client.
